AAT ICAS 9050 ✧ code of administrative practices
this document specifies the intent of AAT ICAS to develop and administer ICAS standards with reference to IEC Annex 3, code of good practice for the preparation, adoption, and application of standards. please refer to AAT ICAS 2076 for additional information about standards organizations.
AAT ICAS code of administrative practices
AAT is preparing for future possible conformance with one or more provisions of IEC Annex 3. acceptance of particular provisions of IEC Annex 3 is however subject to item-specific review by AAT in the capacity of a non-governmental body developing standards relating to uniform scales of calendar and clock.
for purposes of ICAS administration, the acceptance status of particular substantive provisions of IEC Annex 3 with regard to ICAS standards is outlined below. the acceptance status of particular provisions is subject to change, however information about any changes to the acceptance of these provisions shall be described in subsequent AAT ICAS version documents.
IEC General Provisions A, B, and C are accepted unconditionally.
IEC Substantive Provisions:
- D - accepted unconditionally
- E - accepted unconditionally
- F - accepted to the extent that such standards are known and available
- G - accepted in principle, with an intention to make good faith efforts to provide pertinent information about ICAS standards to other standards bodies. extent of AAT participation is however subject to operational review. AAT shall moreover make good faith efforts to facilitate efforts by other standards bodies to develop an independent localization of ICAS.
- H - accepted in principle, with an intention to make good faith efforts to facilitate efforts by standards bodies to review ICAS standards.
- I - accepted in principle
- J - provision is under review for possible acceptance at a later time, subject to interest from other standards bodies.
- K - provision is under review for possible acceptance at a later time, subject to interest from other standards bodies.
- L - provision is under review for possible acceptance at a later time, subject to an administrative decision to prepare to issue ICAS standards documents as 'note' or 'recommendation' status documents.
- M - accepted in principle, with an intention to make good faith efforts to make designated ICAS standards available via web.
- N - accepted in principle, as may be applicable
- O - accepted unconditionally.
- P - accepted in principle, with an intention to make good faith efforts to make designated ICAS documents available via web.
- Q - accepted unconditionally.
the development and administration of ICAS standards is deemed to conform with the claims of acceptance outlined above, based on a review by AAT ICAS as of the date timestamped below.
