AAT ICAS 2080 ✧ quality resources module
this document describes AAT ICAS quality resources. developers and users should also consider reference to other industrial or international quality methodologies in support of quality development and usable design. please also see AAT ICAS 2080 and -2036 for additional information. a current effective copy of various AAT ICAS documents including table-of-contents documents per AAT ICAS 9059 can also serve as an important quality resource.

quality in terms of conformance
questions about the relative conformance of an ICAS method or application to an ICAS standard may be considered with regard to the use or function of a feature or system with regard to any conditions bearing on its scope of use. the guidelines below may be used to test or determine the relative conformance of a particular feature or system to an ICAS standard. validity of a determination may be based on the extent to which any test measure indicates a corresponding factor or function, and the extent to which a test finding may be generalized to situations other than the test.
AAT ICAS quality guidelines
AAT ICAS quality guidelines may be applied to determine the conformance of a use or application of ICAS with an effective AAT ICAS standard. a determination of conformance with one or more guidelines does not necessarily constitute conformance with an AAT ICAS standard. AAT ICAS quality guidelines are not a substitute for other applicable guidelines. guidelines are subject to change.
- is feature or system an ICAS feature or system?
- is scope of use of any ICAS feature or system sufficiently represented by interface?
- are features provided in support of usable design to support scope of ICAS use?
- is functionality of any ICAS feature readily available to a user?
- is use of ICAS system sufficiently distinct any other systems?
- is use of ICAS supported by sufficient use information? what constitutes system of use-support? is use information readily available to a user?
- are ICAS standards appropriately referenced?
- does ICAS documentation reference an effective version? does system of documentation management reference a review of ICAS version activity?
- are product identity and ICAS identities appropriately represented? are graphics presented in support of usable design?
- are any requisite permissions obtained?
some other quality standards
this section describes additional quality resources that may be useful for reference by ICAS developers and users. some other information on the web is listed below. the following information sources are maintained by others. they are not part of the aatideas.org web site.
